About Us

Michigan Psychedelic Society is a community of people interested in the profound role psychedelics play in the expansion of consciousness. Our entire community is based on in-person connections. When pandemic shutdowns did not allow for in-person meetings/events, we devoted our attention on the movement to decriminalize entheogens.

Now that we are back MPS’s role has shifted. We are currently doing a lot of work behind the scenes to re-orient back to the leadership of the sacred feminine.

Mission Statement

The objective of MPS shall be to provide a safe space to discuss psychedelics, offer education & resources, share information about safe and responsible use, increase awareness, provide integration support, build community, foster relationships with other organizations, and work towards legalization and/or decriminalization

Our Purpose

MPS neither condones nor condemns the use of psychedelics but intends to raise objective awareness about how psychedelics can be used therapeutically and in fields such as public and mental health, academia, science, spirituality, and harm reduction. This is not a new beginning but a continuation of a movement already brewing. Our objective is to facilitate its success in a responsible manner. We are committed to inclusivity, welcoming people of all ages, abilities, genders, religions, ethnicities and sexual orientations and taking positive steps to encourage a diverse range at our meetings and events.

Practitioner Work Group

MPS has started a healtcare practitioner work group to research, create, and publish a guidebook for healthcare professional. This will be a guide for Michigan practitioners to discuss psychedelics and psychedelic therapies. This is a good way reduce stigma and fear by getting good and factual information out there. With valuable and accurate information, practitioners may be more open and feel more confident having these conversations.

Midwest Leaders Collabortaion

MPS has helped create a collaborative working group for all midwest states who are seeking to work twards expanded access to entheogens. This group is comprised of psychedelic community leaders from MI, OH, WI, IN, and MN. The goal is to share ifno, work together, inspire each other while we work towards our common golas.
